A Blast from the Past and Something New (to me)

So, Jena let me borrow a handy little book this week that is just super for quick ideas to keep the kiddies busy. I think it is about 5 bucks on Amazon, so head on over to the Maple Mountain Store and pick up a copy!

Anyway, we found the best little game today, in said book. All it requires is an egg timer and good listening skills. I turned on the egg timer, then hid it somewhere in the house. It was up to those little ears to lead them to the hiding place. I was able to get a little work done, and play a game at the same time. Clever, eh?

Also, remember THIS? We borrowed it from the library and enjoyed all the classic songs today.

One more thing... in our exploration of Cynthia Rylant's works, we discovered a lost Little House book. Apparently, there are 2 years missing from the series between On the Banks of Plum Creek and By the Shores of Silver Lake. Based on the journals of Laura Ingalls Wilder, Rylant has written a book to account for that time. We are eager to see what happens. It's called Old Town in the Green Groves.
